The Electronic Installment Agreement (eIA) applet will provide taxpayers that owe money to the IRS the capability of setting up an installment plan via the Web interface offered through eIA. eIA will allow the taxpayer or an authorized representative (Power of Attorney) to apply for and receive online approval for a short term extension of time to pay or set up a monthly installment agreement.
