Contract Type FiledAugust 2nd, 2018On 13 April 2011 the Council of the European Union adopted a Decision authorising the European Commission to negotiate the Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (EPCA) between the European Union and Kazakhstan, and following numerous negotiations the Agreement was signed on 21 December 2015. The Agreement is of a mixed competence and covers areas which concerns the EU’s and Member States’ competence and therefore, it needs to be signed and ratified by both. The Agreement will enter into force two months after which the General Secretariat of the Council of the European Union is notified, through diplomatic channels, of the completion of the internal procedures by Member States.
