Again this year the YMCA is seeking co-sponsorship of the Farmers’ Market to commence on June 22 and run for 17 consecutive Saturdays. In reviewing this request with Mr. John Schrage, YMCA representative, starting on June 22nd is two weeks earlier than past seasons and is requested by the YMCA to meet concerns raised by the growers who will have products available by then and desire to start earlier. Another issue raised by the June 22nd start is the conflict with Heritage Festival, which this year kicks off on Friday,

Please find attached the Farm To City (FTC) 2013 agreement to continue the Bryn Mawr Farmers’ Market through December 28, 2013, inclusive. As in previous years, the Market’s seasonal operation would begin in April, and cease in November. They would also continue the twice-monthly operation on Saturdays during the non-seasonal operation of the Market. The attached agreement would generally follow all existing conditions as under the 2012 agreement, including hours of operation. Additionally, FTC has previously stated that Lower Merion Township has no obligation to FTC with respect to parking lot conditions, in case of inclement weather.
