The City established a service agreement arrangement with the Dell Rapids Fire Department in 2013. This service agreement is to be analyzed and adopted annually. The mutually agreed upon service agreement did not have any issues in 2023, therefore it was recommended to the Council that the agreement be adopted without changes for 2024. The agreement for 2023 was in the amount - $52,943 plus a one-time $20,000 contribution to be used towards the purchase of an SCBA Oxygen tank filling sys- tem. This year, the Fired Department requested a 10% increase from the 2023 base amount. Therefore, the total 2024 contri- bution towards the Fired Department is $58,237.
