The Tate & Lyle Basis Fixed grain contract allows the producer to lock in a basis for grain, either to be delivered or already delivered, when basis seems favorable but the producer is bullish on the futures market. The producer has the freedom to concentrate on the futures market movement without having to worry about basis movement. The producer can price the basis contract or roll it to a deferred futures month before first notice day at market spreads (fees to apply)
