Contract Type FiledSeptember 22nd, 2008As an outcome to the negotiations of 1999 between the Board of Education and the Okemos Education Association (OEA), there was a mutual agreement for establishing a joint committee to study the teacher evaluation process and instruments. The agreement established a committee comprised of one teacher from each level (elementary, middle school and high school), an equal number of administrators from each level, one central office administrator and one OEA representative. This committee began their work in November 1999. A final draft will be presented to the Board and to the bargaining unit members for ratification in the spring of 2001.
