Homelessness Master Services AgreementHomelessness Master Services Agreement • March 4th, 2021
Contract Type FiledMarch 4th, 2021Like many communities across the nation, the City of Glendale has continued to see an increased need for homeless services in our community over the past several years, and desires to ensure a comprehensive strategic response for homeless services. In addition to the need to assist people who are directly experiencing homelessness and to offer programs and services designed to prevent homelessness, the City also desires to mitigate the impact that the homeless population is having on public amenities that are intended for the use of all residents such as parks, public sidewalks, bus shelters, public parking areas, and walking trails. The incidence of homelessness in Glendale is also showing signs of creating increased operational impacts for the business community and other city services to include public safety, right of way maintenance, and parks maintenance, which has the impact of diverting resources from other services.
