If these inspections fail, you are required to hire registered contractors with the Village of Lansing to be added to your permit. The homeowner needs to comply with all Building Codes and Village of Lansing Ordiances. If an inspector deems that the homeowner is not in compliance with the Building Codes and Village of Lansing Ordiances, the job will be stopped and a citation may be issued. If unsure, it is advised to contact the Building Department with any questions prior to starting the job. If during the job, the homeowner decides to hire a contractor to complete the permit, it is your responsibility to contact the Building
