Wonders Extended Day programs provide children with an opportunity to work on their homework each day. Our educators are able to assist children with their homework, but they will not to tutor the children in our programs. While we understand the time constraints many families face each evening, we do not require a child to finish his/her homework before going on to another activity.

Tuesday Math: Look at the picture of a person and answer what shape he has in each part of the body and how many of each shape he has on the hat and on the face. Wednesday Writing: Cut and paste each Word under its correspondent picture. Thursday Turn in all finished work. Friday ****NO CLASS***

This contract is an agreement between child, parents, and the Peirce Extended Day Program teachers to support the student in doing his/her homework. The student agrees to inform teachers whether or not they have homework to complete. The teachers agree to provide a reasonably quiet space for the student and to schedule at least one homework period per day and to inform parents if the contract is not working out. The parent agrees to encourage his/her child to keep to the terms of the contract and to inform the teachers if the contract is not working out.

At A Child’s Way, we feel that it’s important to offer a specific time, place and assistance to work on homework. If you would like your child to work on their homework at school, we would like a homework contract to be made between you and your child and the staff at A Child’s Way. Would you please read and discuss with your child this homework contract and then return it to school.
