Ohio University has a residency requirement which requires students to reside on campus for two full academic years (comprised of fall and spring semesters) after high school graduation and carry an associated meal plan. Consideration for exemption will be given for two full academic years of college credit earned after high school graduation. The Housing and Culinary Services contract is binding for the entire academic year. Students wishing to be exempt from University housing and/or a dining plan must submit a Housing Exemption/Termination Request Form for review and consideration ohio.edu/housing/forms. By completing this version of the contract, you will receive a waiver of the affiliated $200 housing deposit/prepayment. This prepayment would traditionally go toward fall housing and dining

When you are assigned a room in a residence hall, this contract takes effect. At that time, you are obligated to remain in College housing for the academic year. You may not move out during the contract period unless you have permission from the Housing Office. You are also required to enroll as a full-time student (15 semester hours or more) to live in College housing. The Housing Office MUST approve all exceptions.
