Application was made in April 2022 to the state department of licensing and regulatory affairs (LARA) for fiscal year 2023 grant for conducting the indigent defense program (Attachment 1). The Michigan Indigent Defense Commission has approved Royal Oak’s grant for the fifth consecutive state fiscal year, which will commence on October 1, 2022.
