INVESTMENT ADVISORY AND SERVICE AGREEMENT AGREEMENT, made as of this 1st day of December, 1991, by and between FUNDAMENTAL INVESTORS, INC., a Maryland corporation (the "Fund"), and CAPITAL RESEARCH AND MANAGEMENT COMPANY, a Delaware corporation (the "Adviser"). 1.
