The Joint Consolidation Agreement is entered into by the Town of Plattsburgh with the nine lighting districts within the Town and all unconsolidated areas served and areas not within a lighting district and not presently served. The Town, will as of January 1, 2013, be consolidating all the areas into one district. All property of the lighting districts will be transferred to the consolidated lighting district and any liabilities paid from district balances. The lighting districts have no bonded indebtedness. The consolidated district will be financed by ad valorem assessments on taxable real properties within the consolidated district.

The Town will as of April 1, 2024 be consolidating these four water districts into one consolidated water district.
