Lease contracts and service contracts describe two different things. The first is the owner of a physical asset who agrees to let someone else use it for a fee; the second is a person with an ability who agrees to use it for someone else for a fee. Lease agreements relate to real estate such as houses, flats, offices and factories, but may also relate to equipment such as cars, trucks and computers. Basically, they can refer to anything owned by one person that another person wants to use. You could theoretically rent someone a paper towel, toaster or mug if they were willing to pay your monthly taxes. Where a lease refers to assets, service contracts refer to services. In this case, a person pays another person to perform a service for them â carpenters, plumbers, restaurateurs and IT professionals are just a few examples of contract workers.
