HPL strives to be the place where everyone can come together for civic engagement, social interaction, and collaborative learning. The library wants those who use the library to find the facility a welcoming and receptive environment for their lifelong learning. The library encourages children to visit with their parents to take advantage of all the available resources and programs.

The Goodrich Memorial Library assumes no responsibility for children of any age left unattended at the library. Parents or legal guardians are always responsible for the safety and well-being of their children and will assume all liability for vandalism or damage done by their children to the library facility.
