A Georgia motor vehicle bill of sale (Form T-7) serves as a legal document in which a buyer and seller formally agree to the terms of a vehicle’s transfer of ownership. A bill of sale, as well as an odometer disclosure statement, are required in the State of Georgia when registering a vehicle under new ownership at the Tax’s Commissioner’s Tag Office. This document shall be legally binding once both parties sign, and it does not require the acknowledgment of a notary public or other witnesses.
