NATIONAL CARE HOME CONTRACT 2018/19National Care Home Contract • April 24th, 2018
This year’s contract is based on the cost of care calculator cost assumptions as part of formally agreeing the calculator. This agreement has been made with the caveat of jointly commissioning CIPFA with immediate effect to provide an independent view on the most appropriate methodology and evidence to inform capital valuation, return on capital and providers return. The settlement also contains a commitment to begin work on the mechanisms for local variation of models of care and occupancy with immediate effect. Agreement to these terms by COSLA and providers results in a fee uplift to the Nursing and Residential rate of 3.39%.
