The Department of Housing funds or manages over 140,000 social housing1 dwellings in NSW. Housing assistance is provided to households most in need, such as those that include people with disabilities, the aged or the homeless. Concurrently a growing proportion of clients of human services agencies are also applicants eligible for housing assistance, or are already living in social housing.
