Every effort should be made to attend all practices, games, tournaments and be on time. That means, “on the field, warming up” by the start time designated by the coach. Be on time for all baseball/softball related activities; the team will not wait on you. If you are running late please call the coaching staff. Parent shall be solely responsible for ensuring that the player is transported to and from all practices, games, tournaments and related activities. Such transportation shall be at the parent's sole expense.

If practices are missed, a player should not “expect” to start the next game, though they may, at the discretion of the head coach. Players MUST be on time. That means, “on the field, warming up” by the start of each practice or game arrival time. For some, that may mean arriving 15 minutes before the posted time to get situated. Being tardy may result in consequences. The entire team suffers when a link is missing.

The Coastal Valley Soccer Club (CVSC) began more than 15 years ago in the Santa Maria Valley under the name of SMISO, (Santa Maria Independent Soccer Organization). In 2008, the club made some major changes. These changes included reaching out to both the Santa Maria Valley Youth Soccer Association (SMVYSA) and the Oructt United Soccer League (OUSL) and offering them positions on the CVSC Board. This move, along with a change in logos and uniforms, was important to the future of competitive soccer on the Central Coast and to bringing together the communities of Santa Maria and Orcutt. CVSC has extended itself to the Lompoc Valley, Nipomo, Paso Robles and Santa Barbara where we currently have multiple teams and plans for more teams and additional soccer fields for our club.
