The family rounded up five of the new members for this photo on Sunday as they prepared for the final four ewes to deliver this week. From left to right are mom, Kim Groskleg, children Riley, Josh and MacKenzie Schmidt, and dad, Gary Schmidt. The Schmidt’s say their business continues to grow and next year they expect to expand their flock to over 75 sheep.

The project, titled Cook- ing for One (or Two!) will guide participants through the process of creating healthy, affordable meals for themselves while preparing an extra portion or two to share with someone else who may not be part of the program. The shared portion will encourage friendly interactions with others who may be feeling socially isolated because we know that cook- ing and eating food can break down barriers and build friendships.
