THIS AMENDMENT NO. 1 (this “Amendment”), dated as of June 30, 2007 (the “Amendment Effective Date”), to the Security Agreement, dated as of October 24, 2005 (the “Security Agreement”), is entered into by and between FIRSTENERGY GENERATION CORP., an Ohio corporation (“Debtor”), and PENNSYLVANIA POWER COMPANY, a Pennsylvania corporation (“Secured Party” or “Seller”). Capitalized terms used and not otherwise defined herein shall have the meanings ascribed thereto in the Security Agreement.
