The Medical Staff of the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center (“RRUMC”) has developed the Professional Health Program (“Program”) for physicians working at RRUMC. The Program is a supportive program designed to protect the safety and welfare of our patients while aiding physicians who are suffering from substance abuse, substance dependence, mental health issues, or chronic pain that impair their ability to work and function at their best. The success of the Program is dependent upon a commitment by the physician to participate in all aspects of the Program, as well as the ability of RRUMC to monitor the physician’s progress.
