Grand Challenges Canada is pleased to award Amrita Centre for Research and Development (the “Grantee”) a grant of up to the amount of $98,335 CAD for the period beginning on July 1, 2017 (the “Start Date”) and ending on December 31, 2018 (the "Grant Period"). This agreement (the “Grant Agreement”) contains the terms and conditions of this grant. This grant is being made to support the Project (defined below), which aims to achieve proof of concept for the Grantee’s innovation using funds contributed to Grand Challenges Canada from Her Majesty the Queen in right of Canada (“Her Majesty”), represented by the Minister for International Development (the “Minister”) acting through the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development, which is referred to herein as Global Affairs Canada (“GAC”) (the “Contribution”), under a program entitled Contribution in support of Grand Challenges Canada’s Innovation Platform for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) from 2015/16 to 2024/
