By means of an agreement between Clay County, the Clay County Collector and the City, the Collector has collected property taxes from North Kansas City residents and businesses since 2012. The agreement expires with the collection of taxes in 2019, thus necessitating entrance into a new agreement. Before Council is a new agreement for the years 2019 – 2022, with a provision for subsequent automatic renewal for 2023
