On May 12, 2009, your Board approved three agreements funded through the Federal Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP) with: Dominican Hospital in the amount of $52,500; Sutter Maternity and Surgery Center in the amount of $52,500; and Watsonville Community Hospital in the amount of $127,500. These agreements were established to enhance hospital emergency preparedness planning efforts and to increase surge capacity. It is now necessary to amend these agreements to reallocate existing contract funds from planning activities to procurement of surge and communication equipment related to HI response. The amendment for Dominican Hospital will reallocate funds for the purchase of ventilators and Series Go Pack for surge capacity. The amendment for Sutter Hospital will reallocate funds to complete the approved purchase of redundant communications equipment and to purchase evacuation chairs and to increase surge capacity through the purchase of bassinets, surge tent, portable lighting, portable
