Every year SMSD produces a professional dance recital showcasing our students. Recitals are always a highlight of a dancer’s experience each year! It is a very positive, fun-filled event that allows them to put their hard work on display for family and friends. Participation in recital is a privilege and should be taken seriously. We strongly encourage participation in the recital, and the vast majority of our dancers do choose to perform. We encourage parents to enroll even those children with a bit of stage fright, as recital is an exciting, rewarding and confidence-building experience! We want all our dancers to feel included and hope to avoid disappointment of non-performing students during recital costume try-on and rehearsals in the classroom.
