This model recycled water agreement is a template that can be completed to create a formal agreement between a recycled water provider and users of recycled water. It has been developed to interface with the Guideline for low-exposure recycled water schemes (the Guideline). The agreement is structured such that recommendations made in the Guideline can readily be incorporated into a formal agreement. For example, the Guideline states that Class A recycled water may be used for municipal open space irrigation provided minimum on-site controls and a spray-drift control are employed. These recommendations can be incorporated into the ‘Supply Standards’ and ‘On-site Controls’ sections in Schedule 1 of the model agreement. Note that, for the sake of clarity, it is recommended that recycled water providers ‘spell out’ the terms that have been used in Tables 3 – 8 of the Guideline.
