This Lawrence-Douglas County Metropolitan Planning Organization Redesignation Agreement for Cooperative Transportation Planning, hereinafter referred to as “Agreement,” is entered into by and among the Kansas Department of Transportation, hereinafter referred to as “KDOT,” the City of Lawrence, Kansas, hereinafter referred to as the “City,” and the Board of County Commissioners of Douglas County, Kansas, hereinafter referred to as the “County,” effective as of the day of , 2008. KDOT, the City, and the County collectively referred to as the “Parties.”

Set forth below are terms and provisions for inclusion in: (1) a Redesignation Agreement; and (2) Bylaws, for the proposed Rio Grande Valley Metropolitan Planning Organization (the “Valley MPO”). The Valley MPO would result from the combination of the Harlingen-San Benito MPO, Brownsville MPO, and Hidalgo County MPO.
