The provisions of the Agreement do not apply to administration and collection of sales taxes for the sales of goods and services originating from within the boundaries of a member municipality nor does this Agreement restrict how a member municipality administers and collects sales tax on such sales, nor on sales made by those retailers with a physical presence in the municipality. The authority to set rates and exemptions is maintained by the member municipality.

After October 1, 1988, both state tax agencies will share information on customers and purchases, including customer lists of non-participating vendors.
