This Agreement establishes a customs union between the EU and San Marino which, unless otherwise provided in this Protocol, replaces and succeeds the customs union established by the Agreement on Cooperation and Customs Union between the European Economic Community and the Republic of San Marino signed in Brussels on 16 December 19911.
