This Service Partnership Agreement (SPA) and associated documents sets out the range and quality of work, together with the expectations that settings and the Educational Psychology Team (EPT) agree will characterise the service provided by the Bradford EPT. In order to provide the most effective service it is important that the relationship with settings is a partnership, where both parties negotiate and understand the nature of this reciprocal relationship and reflect on the outcomes of their activity on a regular basis. As with all relationships, this will develop over time to fit the needs and skills of the parties involved. However, there is a need for an initial framework of understanding outlining the actions that the setting and the EPT can expect of each other, and for guidance on how the setting can maximise the effective use of the link Educational Psychologist’s (EP’s) time.
