At the January 19, 2022, Board of County Commissioners (Board) meeting, Board members approved Resolution No. R-74-22 sponsored by Senator Javier D. Souto, directing the County Mayor or County Mayor’s designee to negotiate and execute a sister cities agreement with Curitiba, Brazil. Additionally, the Resolution directed the County Mayor or County Mayor’s designee to provide a report to the Board within 60 days of the effective date of the Resolution with respect to the status of the negotiations and execution of the sister cities agreement.
