The Small Scale Funding Agreement between UN Environment Programme and Urban Research Institute is part of the Cooperation Agreement between UNEP/MAP 2016-2021 and the Italian Ministry of Environment, Land and Sea. It sets out a pilot project on marine litter management in Albania, which serves the implementation of the Regional Plan on Marine Litter Management in the Mediterranean, developed under the LBS Protocol of the Barcelona Convention. Albania is one of the Adriatic Contracting Parties in the implementation of the Regional Action Plan.
