Abstract: Partly financed by Eurostat, seven member states1 have been working on a proposal for a har- monized approach to produce public use files of the EU-SILC and EU-LFS data. The final results are due in December 2015. The current paper will describe the state of affairs and will discuss the (preliminary) results.

At the beginning of the project we have set up an inventory of functionalities for Statistical Disclosure Control (SDC) software tools (c.f. Deliverable 5.1), e.g. we have constructed a list of existing functionalities that are implemented in the following SDC software tools (i.e. User Interfaces): -Argus [2] and -Argus [3], developed by Statistics Netherlands ([4], [5]), and the sdc R packages developed by Statistics Austria (sdcMicro [6][7], the associated package sdcMicroGUI which includes a graphical user interface for various methods in the sdcMicro package, and sdcTable [8][9]. The initial inventory also included a short list of “additional functionalities”.
