The City of Urbana and the City of Champaign have reached an earlier agreement in sharing construction costs for modernizing the intersection of Springfield Avenue and Wright Street. The construction plans for this improvement have been completed. To accommodate the improved geometry of the intersection, some traffic signal components will need to be installed on University-owned land. In order for the University to provide use of this land to the City for installation of traffic signal components, a license agreement between the University and the City is required.
