The Health Services Agency has been awarded $83,500 in State funding to continue the Male Involvement Project (MIP) for an additional year. This teen pregnancy prevention project focuses on the role and responsibilities of male teens in pregnancy prevention. Attached for your Board’s approval are the 1998-99 State revenue agreement, renewal service agreements with Salud La Gente and the Watsonville YWCA, and a resolution accepting $3,500 in MIP revenue not included in the adopted County budget.

State Revenue Agreement No. TV-1819-20 with the California Department of Aging provides Senior Community Services Employment Program (SCSEP) services in the amount of $328,960, for the total period of July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019. SCSEP targets older adults seeking unsubsidized employment. The goal of the program is to update or enhance participants’ job skills, through subsidized employment and training, in order to help the participant’s secure unsubsidized employment. DAAS anticipates providing services to approximately 40 clients in 2018-19.
