All students in grades K - 8 will have access to Google Chromebooks for educational use in school. Second through eighth grades will have the ability to take their devices home. This document provides students and their parents/guardians with information about the general use of technology, ownership of the devices, rights, and responsibilities for possession of the device, educational use, and care of the Chromebook.

Lewis County Schools (LCS) encourages the use of technology to further its educational mission and to facilitate effective, leading edge educational practices. It is the general policy of LCS that all technology resources are to be used in a responsible, efficient, ethical and legal manner. We want our students to become ‘digital citizens’ and appropriately and safely learn, work, play and live in today’s global society. Please read and discuss the following guidelines with your child. This is a collaborative effort between the school, student, and parent, each plays a vital role in the success of this program. More and more of what is done in the classroom involves the use of technology, and in providing a device to the student it provides the opportunity to continue progressing and learning even when they are not in the school facility.

The Noblesville Schools Responsible Use Agreement allows students to use technology inside and/or outside of the classroom. Noblesville Schools may provide Internet access, desktop computers, mobile devices, video conferencing capabilities, online collaboration capabilities, message boards, email, and more.
