This means that if the subject is singular, the verb should be singular. Similarly, if the subject is plural, the verb should be plural. English pronouns belong to three categories – first person, second person and third person. The first person pronounces – Me and us Pronounce the second person – you pronounce third person – he, she, it, Here are the basic rules of subject-verb agreement. In the simple tension present, when the subject is a singular noun or a pronoun, the verb takes the marker –s. My son writes with his left hand. (Here the subject my son is a singular noun and therefore the verb writes becomes writes.) They live in a large house. (Here the subject is the plural pronoun they and therefore the v
