The Board of Education (BOE) will provide a Unified Sick Leave Bank (USLB) benefit to employees represented by the BOE’s bargaining units, and to non-represented administrative assistants and management employees. The purpose of the USLB is to provide a vehicle through which employees may donate their accrued sick leave for other eligible employees to use. This additional paid sick leave may be granted to employees who have exhausted their accumulated sick leave and urgent personal business days.

Such requests will remain in effect unless written termination is sent to the Union by the employee by way of certified mail during the period from June 1 through June 15. In order for the withdrawal to be completed for submission to the office of payroll on or before June 30, the letter must be postmarked between June 1 and June 15 and must be mailed to the following address:
