Instructors will be utilizing Google Classroom and other web-based applications to deliver lessons, assignments, and assessment to all students. Students will be expected to login to their Chromebook and access Google Classroom to check for announcements, instructions, and deadlines for each of their courses and programs. School Instructors will be utilizing Google Classroom as a platform to curate instruction, teachers’ instructional methods will likely differ from one another. Many teachers will offer individualized and self-paced lessons. CCS #133 uses an online learning environment (Google and other resources) through which students will access assignments, activities, resources and some textbooks necessary to complete their school work. Just as we issue textbooks to all of our students, we issue Chromebooks & iPads to all students who spend the majority of their day at CCS #133. We recognize that in addition to the benefits of technology access there are challenges, and encourage parents to be involved in setting expectations for how school-provided technology is used at home. It is expected that students will have Chromebooks & iPads with them and charged during academic classes, and students may be allowed to take their Chromebooks home during Remote Learning Days if they have no other device to use.

There is a 3 hour checkout period for laptops and projectors & 48 hour checkout period for Ipads. Students are responsible for all late fees and replacement costs. You will be required to show 2 forms of ID and will allow the library to hold an ID at the desk in order to check-out technology items. Laptops and projectors can be checked out after opening, but are due back 15 minutes before closing.
