Each year, DNR works ahead of the fire season to improve its access to professional equipment and services for fire suppression. Through the use of pre-season agreements DNR is able to pull in outside resources quickly when needed. DNR has taken an interagency approach to pre-season agreements. By partnering with the Forest Service Region 6 Fire and Aviation Contracting Team (FACT) many efficiencies will be gained through dispatching of resources, streamlining contract use, payment, and financial obligations.
