WHEREA S the Western Australia Agreement (Ord River Irrigation) Act 1968 authorized the execution, on behalf of the Commonwealth, of an agree• ment between the Commonwealth and Western Australia to provide financial assistance to Western Australia for the construction of a dam on the Ord River and associated works, being an agreement substantially in accordance with the form of the agreement set out in the Schedule to that Act:
