INCREASED PARKING FEES. 6.1 Should the Lessee infringe the obligation stated in Clause 1 for purchasing a valid parking ticket or should the Lessee exceed the maximum parking duration, then it shall be obligated to pay an increased parking fee. This increased fee is double the amount of the respectively applicable parking fee to be paid for one day, but shall be at least € 15 and at most € 80. The increased parking fee shall be paid for each day on which the Lessee has not purchased a valid parking ticket, contrary to the Lessee’s obligation as per Clause 1. 6.2 The Lessee must transfer the increased parking fee to an account held by the Lessor, within 14 calendar days of issuance of the relevant demand for payment indicating the registration number of the relevant vehicle. 6.3 If the increased parking fee is not paid in good time, the Lessor may carry out an official search for the registered vehi-cle owner with the German Federal Office for Motor Traffic (Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt), in order to issue a written demand for payment. Any costs incurred in this process are invoiced to the Lessee as a lump sum of € 10.00 in addition to the in-creased parking fee and the original unpaid parking fee.
