Examples of Abused or neglected in a sentence
In determining whether there is a continuing danger to the physical health or safety of a child, the court may consider whether the household to which the child would be returned includes a person who has:• Abused or neglected another child in a manner that caused serious injury to or the death of the other child; or• Sexually abused another child.
In determining whether there is an immediate danger to the physical health or safety of a child, the court may consider whether the child’s household includes a person who has:• Abused or neglected another child in a manner that causes serious injury to or the death of the other child; or• Sexually abused another child.
Code § 262.201(g), the court may consider whether the household to which the child would be returned includes a person who has:• Abused or neglected another child in a manner that caused serious injury to or the death of the other child; or• Sexually abused another child.
As used in this chapter, unless the context requires a different meaning: "Abused or neglected child" means any child:1.

Abused or neglected children may be victims of offences under the Criminal Code of Canada such as physical or sexual assault; sexual exploitation; failure to provide the necessities of life; or criminal negligence causing bodily harm.
