Academic Affairs means the division at the Chancellor’s Office that is responsible for gathering, reviewing and evaluating information on the admission criteria of a campus academic program.

  • Assessment: The Office of Academic Affairs will work with the institution to measure the success and continued effectiveness of the proposed program.

  • Candidates should not sign the Office of Academic Affairs Candidate Checklist without ascertaining that they have fully met the requirements set forth in the Office of Academic Affairs core dossier outline including, but not limited to, those highlighted on the checklist.

  • For a formal complaint against a University faculty member, the default decision-maker will be the Vice President for Academic Affairs or such person’s designee.

  • A probationary period of up to four years is possible, on approval of the Office of Academic Affairs, with review for tenure occurring in the final year of the probationary appointment.

  • Clinical Development means the conduct of clinical trials in humans to assess the dosing, safety and/or efficacy of the Product, including but not limited to Phase I Clinical Trials, Phase II Clinical Trials, Phase Ill Clinical Trials and Phase IV Clinical Trials.

  • Medical Affairs Activities means, with respect to any country or other jurisdiction in the Territory, the coordination of medical information requests and field based medical scientific liaisons with respect to Licensed Compounds or Licensed Products, including activities of medical scientific liaisons and the provision of medical information services with respect to a Licensed Compound or Licensed Product.

  • Professional development means training programs for

  • experimental development means acquiring, combining, shaping and using existing scientific, technological, business and other relevant knowledge and skills with the aim of developing new or improved products, processes or services. This may also include, for example, activities aiming at the conceptual definition, planning and documentation of new products, processes or services;

  • scientific research means any activity in the field of natural or applied science for the extension of knowledge;

  • Substantial development means any development of which the total cost or fair market value exceeds two thousand five hundred dollars, or any development which materially interferes with the normal public use of the water or shorelines of the state; except that the following shall not be considered substantial developments for the purpose of this chapter:

  • Development Officer means the Development Officer appointed by the Council of the Municipality.

  • Service Planning Team or “SPT” means a team who includes the Individual and/or the Individual’s identified support network, Contractor’s lead administrative staff supporting medical, behavioral and activity oversight called out in this Contract, Contractor’s Administrator or designee and ODHS Designee. The team is responsible for overseeing the Individual’s Service Plan and all other associated plans or services in this Contract.

  • Infill development means new construction on a vacant commercial lot currently held as open space.
