Ambulatory surgery facility means a public or private facility, not part of a hospital, which provides surgical treatment performed under general or regional anesthesia in an operating room environment to patients not requiring hospitalization. In addition to operating rooms, an ambulatory surgery facility includes all components of pre and post- operative ambulatory surgery care.
