AUTHORITY OF SIGNERS definition

AUTHORITY OF SIGNERS. The persons executing this Contact on behalf of the Buyer and the Seller warrant that each has the authority to do so and to bind the named Buyer and Seller corporations.

  • Certifying Authority means a person who has been granted a licence to issue a Digital Signature Certificate under section 24;

  • public authority means any authority or body or institution of self- government established or constituted—

  • enforcement authority means any person or body having jurisdiction to enforce or to take action under or in respect of the relevant legal requirement.

  • Responsible Authority means any of the following: -

  • Institutional Review Board or “IRB” means, in accordance with 45 C.F.R. Part 46, 21 C.F.R. part 56, and other applicable regulations, an independent body comprising medical, scientific, and nonscientific members, whose responsibility is to ensure the protection of the rights, safety, and well-being of the Human Subjects involved in a study.

  • Council means the Council of the Municipality;

  • Information Commissioner means the UK Information Commissioner and any successor;

  • Approval Authority means the authority of a Member State with competence for all aspects of the approval of a type of vehicle, system, component or separate technical unit or of the individual approval of a vehicle; for the authorisation process, for issuing and, if appropriate, withdrawing approval certificates; for acting as the contact point for the approval authorities of other Member States; for designating the technical services and for ensuring that the manufacturer meets his obligations regarding the conformity of production;

  • Authority Having Jurisdiction means a federal, state, local, or other regional department, or an individual such as a fire marshal, building official, electrical inspector, utility provider or other individual having statutory authority.

  • NIGC means the National Indian Gaming Commission.

  • Authority Personal Data means any Personal Data supplied for the purposes of or in connection with this Framework Agreement by the Authority to the Supplier;

  • Attorney General means the Attorney General of the State.

  • Authorized Authority means, in relation to any Person, transaction or event, any (a) federal, provincial, municipal or local governmental body (whether administrative, legislative, executive or otherwise), both domestic and foreign, (b) agency, authority, commission, instrumentality, regulatory body, court, central bank or other entity exercising executive, legislative, judicial, taxing, regulatory or administrative powers or functions of or pertaining to government, (c) court, arbitrator, commission or body exercising judicial, quasi-judicial, administrative or similar functions, and (d) other body or entity created under the authority of or otherwise subject to the jurisdiction of any of the foregoing, including any stock or other securities exchange, in each case having jurisdiction over such Person, transaction or event; and

  • Certificate of authority means the certificate issued by DCBS to a licensed health entity granting authority to transact insurance as a health insurance company or health care service contractor.

  • Chartering Authority means (i) with respect to a national bank, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, (ii) with respect to a Federal savings association or savings bank, the Office of Thrift Supervision, (iii) with respect to a bank or savings institution chartered by a State, the agency of such State charged with primary responsibility for regulating and/or closing banks or savings institutions, as the case may be, (iv) the Corporation in accordance with 12 U.S.C. Section 1821(c), with regard to self appointment, or (v) the appropriate Federal banking agency in accordance with 12 U.S.C. 1821(c)(9).

  • Commissioner means the commissioner of insurance.

  • Government Representative means any officer or employee of the state or a political

  • Accreditation body means an entity that has been approved by FDA to accredit mammography facilities.
