CAT Event definition

CAT Event means any of the following events that first occurs during the Measurement Period: (i) any hurricane, windstorm, tropical storm, typhoon, cyclone, earthquake, seaquake, wildfire, severe thunderstorm, winter storm, flood, volcanic eruption, meteorite impact, weather event or any other naturally occurring peril that is identified by PCS as a “catastrophe” (or equivalent designation); (ii) any natural catastrophe event that is identified by PERILS; (iii) any tsunami that makes landfall in the country of Japan; (iv) any weather system that makes landfall in the country of Japan and is named by the Japan Meteorological Agency to be a tropical cyclone; (v) any event which is allocated a Catastrophe Code by Xxxxx’x of London; (vi) any other natural catastrophe event of similar type and size as those identified in clauses (i) through (v) above and that occurs in a location that is not covered by PCS or PERILS; (vii) any act of terrorism or Human-Made Catastrophe; or (viii) any Life-Related Catastrophe.

Examples of CAT Event in a sentence

  • Each Industry Member may record and report Manual CAT events in increments up to and including one second, provided that each Industry Member records and reports the time when a Manual CAT Event has been captured electronically in an order handling and execution system of such Industry Member (“Electronic Capture Time”) in milliseconds.

  • The CAT Event Fee includes up to 12 hours per day seven days a week (generally 7 a.m. ET to 7 p.m. ET).

  • Each table includes a "Non-Cat" flat fee and a "CAT Event" flat fee.

  • In addition to Training Fees and a one-time Setup/Activation Fee, per event, Citizens will pay Vendor for the number of CAT Response calls it handles during a CAT Event, according to the rates set forth in a Task Order and any mutually agreed adjustments.

  • In exchange, Vendor agrees to be ready and able to handle 30,000 CAT Response calls per day on 72-hour notice If a CAT Event occurs and Vendor is unable to handle this minimum volume of CAT Response Calls, Citizens may (i) revoke the minimum revenue guarantee going forward, and (ii) recapture any prior payments to the extent services were not actually rendered.

  • The CAT Event flat fee applies to claims and deployments involving Catastrophe Claims.

  • Therefore, the Setup/Activation Fee and the Per Call Pricing may be adjusted up or down for each CAT Event as circumstances warrant.

Related to CAT Event

  • Default Event means an event or circumstance which leads Operator to determine that a Venue User is or appears to be unable or likely to become unable to meet its obligations in respect of an Order or Transaction or to comply with any other obligation under an Agreement or Applicable Law.

  • Repayment Event means any event or condition which gives the holder of any note, debenture or other evidence of indebtedness (or any person acting on such holder’s behalf) the right to require the repurchase, redemption or repayment of all or a portion of such indebtedness by the Company or any of its subsidiaries.

  • Change of Control Triggering Event means the occurrence of both a Change of Control and a Rating Event.
