Certificate of Appropriateness definition

Certificate of Appropriateness means the written approval of a permit application for work that is appropriate and that does not adversely affect a resource.
Certificate of Appropriateness means the document indicating that the commission has reviewed the proposed changes to a local register property or within a local register historic district and certified the changes as not adversely affecting the historic characteristics of the property which contribute to its designation.
Certificate of Appropriateness means a certificate issued by the board approving the alteration, rehabilitation or construction of any building, structure or site in the district.

Certificate of Appropriateness. Means a document evidencing approval by the Historic Preservation Commission of an application to make a material change in the appearance of a designated historic property or of a property located within a designated historic district.
