City or county lead agency definition

City or county lead agency means a city or county, acting as lead agency, for purposes of certifying or ap-proving an environmental impact report, a negative declaration, or a mitigated negative declaration for a water-demand project.

  • Lead Agency means the agency facilitating the procurement and establishing the Contract.

  • State Contracting Agency means the department for which this contract is to be performed and for which the Commissioner or Authorized Designee acted in signing this contract.

  • Service agency means the public agency, the State or any local government unit or special purpose district which has the authority to provide police, fire fighting, medical or other emergency services, which has requested the local telephone company to provide an E9-1-1 Telecommunications Service for the purpose of voice-reporting emergencies by the public.

  • County authority means the board of county commissioners,

  • County office means any officer, department, board, commission, agency, court, or other instrumentality of a county.

  • State educational agency means any state educational licensing authority, agency, department, board or commission that provides an approval, certification, exemption or other authorization necessary for a postsecondary institution (whether its main campus, branch campus, additional location, satellite or other facility thereof) to provide postsecondary education in that state including any distance education.

  • Civil Service Commission means the commission required under Section 5 of Article XI of the Michigan Constitution of 1963.

  • County Government means the county government provided for under Article 176 of the Constitution;

  • County highway means a public road that is constructed and

  • Environmental Protection Agency or “EPA” means the United States Environmental Protection Agency.

  • Agency and/or State Agency means the statutory unit of state government in the State of Missouri for which the equipment, supplies, and/or services are being purchased by the Division of Purchasing (Purchasing). The agency is also responsible for payment.

  • County commission means the board of county commissioners of the county.

  • City agency means each and every agency, department, board, commission, authority, employee, and/or official acting under the authority of the City, including, without limitation, the City Council and the Planning Commission.

  • County Manager means the County Manager appointed by the County Council pursuant to the Luzerne County Charter;

  • Contract administration office also means a contract management office of the Defense Contract Management Agency.

  • State educational institution means an institution enumerated in Article 12, Section 11 of the constitution of New Mexico;

  • Applicable Regional Entity means the Regional Entity for the region in which a Network Customer, Transmission Customer, New Service Customer, or Transmission Owner operates. Applicable Standards:

  • State Location means any physical location where the State performs work. State Location may include state-owned, leased, or rented space.

  • Urban district means the territory contiguous to and including any street or highway which is built up with structures devoted to business, industry, or dwelling houses situated at intervals of less than one hundred feet for a distance of a quarter of a mile or more, and the character of such territory is indicated by official traffic control devices.

  • Supervising agency means an agency licensed by the state

  • County Counsel means County’s Office of the County Counsel.

  • Health Agency means the California Department of Health Services, or the local health officer with respect to a small water system.
